I seriously don’t know what made me write this blog, that to on a Movie which I watched yesterday evening. Believe me I am not a big movie buff, but I did feel the need to express my sentiments for this movie “Wake up Sid”. After such a long time there was a movie which had real characters, who the general audience could relate to. The whole movie focused on the emotions, turmoil and drive that some young people possess and some lack.
Rather that the swelt bodies of those impossible good looking actors and size zero bodies of actresses. This movie was such a breath of fresh air, the sweetest movie I have seen in a while. Tastefully done! Ayaan Mukerji did a good job. As I have read some where he is Rani Mukerji’s young cousin and Ayaan Mukherjee has a lot to look forward on his directorial debut.
You can relate to the scenes, characters, Feelings just by the expressions of the actors in the movie. Konkona is natural to the core and the best part is, she's so effortless and incredible performer. And No one could've portrayed Sid as effectively as Ranbir has enacted, that's for sure.
The emotional moments especially gets you all moist-eyed. The humor too is well integrated in the sequences. Even the confrontation between the father, Mother and son is superb. Prior to that Konkona's birthday sequence is amongst the finest sequences of the film, which I liked the most. And the taken for granted and friendly love feelings are nicely put together with Sid’s Friends. Portray of how the love builds up in two totally different kinds of persons is Nice. Love, jealousy, Betray, Friendship, Anger, Emotions, Feelings, Mother hood, ambition, self motivation, and much more in “Wake up Sid”.
